Jackie Gino has announced its last show taking
place Saturday December 22, 2007 @ Ned Devine's in Centreville, VA. The
show will be supported by Politiks and music will be from 10pm-1:30am. The
band would like to gratefully thank all of the friends, family, and fans that
have supported the music over the last six years. There are two other
shows prior to Dec 22 - details can be found on the
MySpace page.
We’ve
added some pictures from a recent show at Border Café. Be sure to have
a peak and check out the next show date. Cheers… Saturday July 28 - Border Cafe - Centreville, VA.Come support the
latest, drink much, stay up late, and dream about it when
you're done... The last couple of months have been busy for non-band related events.
Shad and Kat are officially hitched while Bob and Kym have had their newborn
Cambria - congrats to both. We are only scheduled for 3 shows through
August as everyone gets settled into their ways. You can expect some great
sets though at both Border Café and Ned Devine's in Centerville - we're
currently trying to finalize some live show recordings and will keep you
posted so you can be there. Catch JG with Shotglass tomorrow night at Auld Shebeen in Fairfax. There
are a few new songs in the arsenal that will be tested out for the first
time. There are a couple more on the way that should be ready in the next
few weeks so stay tuned. After taking a few months off, we're back in business and have a few
gnarly shows over the next few months. Come check out the new music, all
inspired by Justin Timberlake. Happy New Year - welcome to the official global warming. Let's see...what's new? We'd like to bid our good friends 33 West farewell - the live shows and
consistent high energy will be missed, but not forgotten. The CD Release show was complete high energy - see the pictures in the
Media section. Huge thanks to Shotglass for an amazing first set, Signifire
from the Indigenous Womb-ites, Brandon for great sound, and of course all
our family and friends for being f*cking awesome. We love each and every one
of your for all the support over the years. If you're in the area, be sure
to check out Ned Devine's in Sterling next Thursday - giving away Aerosmith
tickets & Rob Fogle will be airbrushing a canvas on stage while we play our
set that will be raffled off after the show. It's going to be sick....much
love. -JG Big ups to Duburbia for inviting us down last weekend and for putting on
a great set. Also huge thanks to our friends and family who joined us and
added to the energy. Wednesday night we're playing acoustic at TT's. Then
our CD Release is Friday night at Auld Shebeen. See you all there. -JG Check out what's going on in the next two weeks alone: CD Release Parties announced. We'll be in Va Beach Friday July 14th at
the Halfshell on Shore Drive. The following weekend, we'll be back in
Fairfax for the official CD Release at Auld Shebeen. There are a couple
things left to finish on the new site that we hope to have in place this
week (media player, guestbook, pics) so stay tuned. We have returned from the Bahamas and the trip was of course ridiculous.
Big thanks to Matt Waller for filling in on bass, Station 6, Everyone But
Pete, RC, Tori and Ruis, all of our friends who came along, the FL crew, and
whoever else we might be leaving out! We're in the process of getting new
pictures up from the trip, so stay tuned for that. We will be having our CD
Release party in the next few weeks (probably at Auld Shebeen) and will
confirm once this is set. It is an exciting time for the band right now. First we would like to
congratulate Shad on the birth of his daughter Annabelle Lauren. Best wishes
to Shad and his new family. In other news, our EP entitled BOOM is OUT! We
will be celebrating the release of it in the Bahamas this weekend as we
travel there for two shows. The CD will be available online within the next
week or two. Also, stay tuned for the release party set for the D.C area in
July. Some of you may be wondering why no updates to the site. Well, it seems
MySpace is taking over the world, so this site has fallen by the
wasteline (just to be honest). Anyway, UPDATES INCLUDE: New EP is finished
and being sent to print, new website is almost complete, Bahamas trip is
almost here, Shad's baby is due in 4 weeks! Last weekend was busy...Jah Works killed it on Friday night as usual.
Saturday was rippin' n roarin' out at Neds. Congrats to Tim and Shannon on
their new baby and everything to come. MTV's True Life was at the show
following them - so you will see Jackie Gino later this fall...in the words
of our anonymous stoner friend, "...that's sweet bra." Happy birthday to Erik...he's much older than Country so be sure to just
give him a nice pat on the back. Happy birthday to Country...a quarter century and rising. If you are
still interested in going to the Bahamas, but haven't signed up yet, you can
still do so online @
Station6Tours or through us, shoot any questions to the guestbook and
leave your phone # so we can give you a call. Be sure to use Jackie Gino as
your REP. This Wednesday catch Bob and Country @ TT's playing acoustic all night.
Also, remember, March 13th is the date you want to have your Bahamas deposit
in by to guarantee your trip cost of only $649. Hit up the guestbook w/ any
questions...you can sign up online @
Station6Tours or through us. Be sure to use Jackie Gino as your REP.
Lastly, our studio tracking is basically finished and we have only to mix it
all...we're almost there. New show booked for late march @ South Riding Inn. Also, be sure to look
into Summer Jam 2...this trip was amazing last year - we hope to see as many
of our friends and fans down there getting just as ridiculous! Thanks to
Can't Hang for getting us started Friday night. Also, huge shouts to all
of you who made it out...the place was out the door ridiculousness. We're
playing Ned Devine's in Herndon next Saturday...see you then. We have just booked two sick-ass openers for our show Friday night at
Auld Shebeen in Fairfax:
Can't Hang and
Jebus. Music starts at 10pm and ends @ 1:30am. Get there early and just
dig it... New
Show dates are posted. Our CD Release show will probably be early summer
since we will be completing our CD in late February/early March. We'll be
adding pics and video from the studio this week as well...there's some
interesting footage from the vault that must be shared. We are not finished in the studio and will be completing it over a few
weekends at the end of February and beginning of March. Beefcake pantyhose
everyone, beefcake pantyhose. And be sure to stay away from the beer
chugging contests...there's Viagra spiked in them!
